‘Boko Haram Suspects’ Arrested Over Plot To Attack Atiku’s Adamawa Residence

Four suspected Boko Haram members have been arrested in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, over an alleged plot to attack the residence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. 

The spokesman for the police in the state, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the development through a telephone chat.

Nguroje said the suspects were arrested in front of Atiku’s residence and they confessed to being Boko Haram members on a mission to attack some target places in the state including the house of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25, 2023 election.

The police spokesman also said the suspected terrorists have been handed over to the military.

Also, Atiku’s media office in a statement said the four suspects were apprehended at 09:44 pm on Sunday, July 23, 2023, in front of Atiku’s residence.

“The suspect also informed the Police that he and his colleagues, who were later arrested too, intended to attack organizations associated with Atiku Abubakar and some other sensitive locations in Yola,” the statement read.

“All four suspects have been handed over to military authorities.

“We commend the police for the work that they continue to do in this particular investigation.

“We further ask that other relevant security agencies remain on top of their brief.”

  Ijoba Danku, the former manager of Oritsefemi, has debunked his claims that he accommodated Burna Boy during his fight with his mum, and sold a used vehicle to D’banj. durables recalls that Oritsefemi in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo claimed he accommodated Burna Boy during a fallout with his mum and sold his Prado to D’banj. He also accused his ex-manager Danku of defrauding him and betraying his trust. Speaking on the latest episode of the Doyin’s Corner podcast, Danku debunked Oritsefemi’s claims, labeling them as “lies.” He said, “Oritsefemi did not sell any Prado to D’banj. I don’t support lies.
